I consulted Emilia Hb, an industrial and graphic designer on Fiverr, for a fresh perspective on connecting the design elements. Emilia’s enthusiasm and zeal provided a welcome boost. I will begin printing chair parts on March 11 and I hope to be finished in April. The files are available for download on Thangs for those interested in collaborating on this project. Update August 1, 2024
There has been a delay with printing the files. I am trying to troubleshoot an issue I’m having with the CR10 mini. I may have found a solution (I haven’t tested it yet); however, a few of the parts require a machine with a larger build volume. The best option may be to buy another printer instead of searching for someone to print the parts at a reasonable price. If I do purchase a printer, I will get rid of the two printers I have now (I don’t have the space) and build an enclosure cabinet. I hope to have the chair printed before the end of this year.
Update March 20, 2025
I was unable to find someone who could print parts at a reasonable price. I did get rid of the other printers and bought another one, but it does not have a bed large enough to print all of the parts. I have all of the filament I need for the chair; however, I will not attempt to print the parts until I have purchased a printer with a larger print bed. This means, I may not print this iteration of the chair at all. I have another design in mind that will not require a larger print bed.
